The disadvantage of working out of studio is if you don't get it done in the allotted time slot... oh well! I often do portraits in the trois crayon (3 colors black, white, red) and am always amazed by how far only a few colors can take an image. I believe there are minimalists/purists that only use a few colors Zorn comes to mind but a favorite master artist I've worked with is Jon De Martin who works wonders with black white red and yellow. So this effort was in thought and admiration of those who can do so much with so little!
