As one might imagine, sketching and sketching... and sketching some more has it's downfall- BOREDOM!!! So to keep the grey matter from going stale, I often invent challenges for myself. One of them is "fill the page before..." where I draw as fast as I can to fill a page before say, my table is ready at a resteraunt on a busy night. Anything goes so the idea is to look around, sketch the "jest" of something to where it is recognizable then move the vision 45-60 degrees in an opposing direction and draw the next thing. The goal is to get the page filled in say the 5-10 minute time period.
