Week#21: Painting all day... and sketching in the off time

Last weekend I spent the weekend in Skagit county painting state parks. Despite the 16 hour day of "go, Go, GO!" and a splitting headache after driving for 3 hours in glaring sun and crazy traffic, I still managed to sketch before bed. Likewise I began the next day with sketching by multi-tasking during breakfast a pen and ink of the table setting) before I went out for the day. Then before the painting event I did watercolor sketches.

Despite the full day, I crammed in any idle time with sketching (between events) what I could to make the most of the trip. The hardest part of the trip... NOT going to visit the lighthouse in the southern part of Whitby Island as I was SO CLOSE!!! I did find a lighthouse coffee drive thru yet not the time to stop and sketch... or get coffee.
